M.Sc. Milan Janković, president of the Belgrade Chamber of Commerce, accepted the title of SA SMP Honorary president. He said he is honored and pleased to hold such a title, that represents however a great responsibility and encouragement to his further efforts in supporting SME sector, especially now, in economic and financial crisis period, when SMEs are facing numerous problems. The mission will be pointed at the creation of stimulating, safe and well regulated, legal and administrative frame for businesses, particularly for SME sector. The activities will be focused on increase of the number of SMEs and new jobs. The internationalization of SMEs and their integration in European and world leading clusters will be supported as well.
Particular efforts are going to be made in order to stimulate entrepreneurs’ initiatives and support the development of the entrepreneurship, the generator of economic and commercial growth. We will make an effort to help entrepreneurs realize their business ideas by connecting them with investors, business angels and investment funds.
We will pursue our activities related to the equal regional development, achievable, above all, by means of the public-private partnership and cooperation of the institutions and local authorities at all levels. We will pay particular attention to service sectors, rural and spa tourism, agriculture, food industry and health food sector, the most promising fields of Serbian economy.
We also plead for more active involvement in regional cooperation, with partner associations from the region, so as to strengthen regional networks, link business partners, create business incubators and establish a new quality in economy. We will carry on the integration processes, European, but also those related to CEFTA region, Russia, China, and all other markets interesting to our members, in order to increase the foreign trade exchange.
At international level we will incorporate our companies in business networks, with the aim of primary connecting and the accomplishment of the projects financed by the EU. Business networks are very important to businesspersons, since they procure continuous source of important information, insight in potential and current projects and the acquirement of know-how, indispensable for up-to-date business operations. Active involvement in UEAPME, Businesseurope, OECD, INSME, Eurochambres and other multilateral organizations will open new perspectives for the collaboration.
By means of the institutional support, business support service and representation of interests of SMEs and entrepreneurs at all levels, we will try to help Association’s members to achieve their business interests. I firmly believe SMEs and entrepreneurs could become an engine and generator of economic prosperity and the development of Serbia in the future.
